Antique Italian Carved Giltwood Baroque Style Mirror is a beautiful representation of the style, with a restrained interpretation that results in a dignified, timeless Italian look without being too ostentatious. Hand-carved giltwood surrounds the mirror accented with stylized foliate and shell accents on all sides, but the crown is particularly impressive, featuring a pierce-carved artwork centered with a fanciful acanthus plume modeled after a scallop shell surrounded by scrollwork and foliates, and crowned at the top with an acanthus flourish. The aged patina of the gold finish adds a Old World effect that cannot be denied!
