- There is a slight wave in a small area of the middle, which is not visible to the naked eye … moreThere is a slight wave in a small area of the middle, which is not visible to the naked eye but can be found by touch. I could not photograph it. There are two very minor losses towards the center of the painting (or omissions?). On the far right, there is a one inch tear in the top layer of paint but it is not loose. There is no crackelure. Minor flea bites in frame finish. It does not look like these deficits would increase or cause other imperfections. Please zoom in on the photos as I have pictured all known issues. The frame is very sturdy and the painting is otherwise in great shape. Price already reflects these flaws. Please let me know if you have questions and thank you for your interest. less

Painterly dark plum mountain against dusky blue sky and water. “Easy Calm”: by Louis Zelig, listed Swedish painter, who is featured in public collections. Scandinavian noir mellowed. Sourced from a dealer in Sweden.
The close proximity of the mountain to the viewer and the fact that much of the subject is out of frame gives this piece a contemporary feel.
Dark plum is the color for Fall/Winter 2024. In original gold frame and ivory wood liner. Signed on recto and ready to hang. less
