This pair of putti planters is very old. They belonged to my grandmother. My husband and I decorated quite a bit with putti, that was one of the reasons I was attracted to them. I filled the container with small stones and erected a topiary in each - a foam ball on a stick covered with greenery. They were quite the hit at Christmas!
The material is thought to be a resin. If you look closely, you'll see that that they don't match exactly in color. Some of the finish is flaking on one - testament to their age. They make a lovely addition in a topiary or any setting.
