The faux tortoiseshell finish is very forgiving with it's multiple variations in color and movement so the minor touch ups look very good. There were just a few here and there and the corners, edge and very minor on the top. The brass hardware has minor discoloration. Overall it's a wonderful piece of vintage furniture. less

This is a very versatile piece as it can be used as a buffet in a dining room, a living where extra storage is needed or it would be wonderful as an oversized nightstand.
The chest is pretty large in scale with the 1 pull out drawer and 1 removable shelf interior.
The exterior is adorned with large original brass Asian Chinoiserie style hardware and brass corners. The square feet are covered in brass sheeting.
The faux tortoiseshell finish adds a pop of the unexpected to any room. less
