A fine bronze cast of Roman or Greek bacchanal with satyrs and maenads proceeding around the outer surface. The Classic festival scene that was so favored by Classic Romans and Greeks..Marked OUDIN ( Clock Maker Family founding 1790s) ) to the edge of the foot. The size is 5.5" tall and 3.5" in diameter at the mouth, 2.6" foot. Very fine bronze with good weight. Dark patina with light areas of verdigris. Beautifully modeled and refined composition, weighted to hold desk pens, pencils, or desk tools.
