Chinese framed porcelain Buddhist temple plaque, a finely drawn depiction of Kuan Yin, in turquoise and gold, seated on a … more Chinese framed porcelain Buddhist temple plaque, a finely drawn depiction of Kuan Yin, in turquoise and gold, seated on a lotus throne in sukhasana, with an ornate mandorla and halo, displaying the scroll of the law in her right hand and her left hand in vitarka mudra, amid stylized clouds and Buddhist offerings on a lotus leaf below, all done in fine gilt line drawing throughout. Signed, with five seal marks, in original, Chinese, hongmu frame, made with fine Chinese joinery, with original Chinese bronze hanger. The back is intact and removable. Circa Republic of China era or earlier.
