Original hand cut collage by Lori Fiacco depicts a colorful prickly pear cactus (opuntia). This one-of-a-kind collage was created from fragments of the artist's own original monotype and photo etching artworks. Works were made using heavy cotton rag papers, and the resulting collage is highly dimensional and textural. Bright color palette with grass green, deep purple, fuchsia, orange, raspberry pink, peach, warm yellow, gray, and lime green. Pencil signed and dated (2021) at bottom right. Beautiful natural wood frame. Measures 15.75 x 19.75 inches overall. Ready to hang and enjoy (hanging template included).
Monotypes and etchings are made by hand and have a visual quality that cannot be recreated in any medium. The etching press adds an element of chance that can’t be predicted or controlled, and produces unique textures, colors, and patterns.
