Description: Initially intended as a candy purse for a family baptism, this little Elchinger vase was so successful that it was … more Initially intended as a candy purse for a family baptism, this little Elchinger vase was so successful that it was mass-produced at the earthenware factory. The free shape is reminiscent of a fabric and the vase offers a nice contrast between the speckled green enameled interior and the shiny black enameled exterior. Its small format and vintage look allow for offbeat use. We love this model transformed into a pencil or brush holder!

The vase is glazed, bright spotted green inside, black glaze outside. The colors are intense and deep. Free-form, the vase evokes a purse. A discreet shine is visible on the collar. The piece is signed with a stylus.
