This fabulous forged iron and steel jardinière has a rustic Spanish Revival-inspired vibe that will beautify any space, in or out of doors. Reminiscent of iron/steel jardinières/planters seen throughout terraced European gardens, it will look fabulous overflowing with container flowers or greens such as petunias, fuchsias, English ivy, lobelias, snapdragon and so much more! You’ll find stylized scrolls and bands of forged steel make up the body or frame; “acorn finial topped arms” gracefully adorn each corner. On the interior, the center bottom consists of a beautiful forged iron grate with a fleur-de-lis motif. The pièce de résistance are the four petite forged iron lion’s paw feet that the jardinière rests upon. This beauty measures 14½” x 9½ x 11” W/D/H; interior 8½” x 8” x 7” W/D/H; weight 6 lbs. Color is a mixture of ivory, dove grey and a rusty patina. In excellent structural condition; welds are solid. Age-appropriate wear to the finish that has developed the beautiful semi-rusty patina you see in the pictures. It is a surface rust, a look that I enjoy very much and have kept it smooth over the years by rubbing gently with number 0 steel wool, when needed. It could be painted to suit your taste, if desired.
