From circa 1960s, this pair of tables are in similar style to Philip & Kelvin LaVernes works, but with the twist of decorated gold leaf.

The gold leaf artwork on each table features opposing horse and rider with lance, in a medieval / renaissance style. Possibly utilizing acid-etching, or other similar techniques, the gold leaf has variations of color furthering the antique feel of this incredible pair of functional art. The square shape frame with brass legs and stretchers resemble Philip & Kelvin LaVerne's bronze tables in shape and style, but with a unique twist of gold-leaf artistry that you don't find in LaVernes.

One thing that gold leaf provides that gives these tables unique qualities for real world use is the incredible reflectiveness that it provides. With direct light on the tables the gold leaf glimmers and shines, from other angles the table tops appear bronzed and mysterious. CONDITION:
Good vintage condition with light wear and patina. Gold Leaf on one table is in excellent vintage condition, and some blemishes on the other table (see photos). Glass has faint scratches and other age. Brass has light patina throughout. Overall very attractive and ready for immediate use. less
