Born in France during the reign of King Louis XV nicknamed le Bien-Aimé (the Beloved), this commode features a rectangular top with serpentine front, sitting above two dovetailed drawers each fitted with Rococo style hardware including chinoiserie characters. Our eye is immediately drawn to the carved apron, adorned with scrolling foliage following the scalloped lines beautifully. Raised on four legs, cabrioles in the front and straight in the back, this Louis XV commode circa 1740 will bring a touch of French refinement to any bedroom or living room. less
