Creating this centerpiece was an … Read more Monumental handblown large low profile bowl by Venice glass maker Davide Dona (signed at bottom). Creating this centerpiece was an achievement due to its large size and movement along the edges and curves. The colors are very vibrant showing turquoise, aquamarine, cobalt blue, mint green , yellow hues overlaid in thick clear glass worked with bubbles. The strokes of color give movement to the curves and deepen depending on the light.

Davide Dona is a Venetian glassblower recognized for the ability to create large and very intricate pieces, which require exceptional handling. Several of his pieces have been displayed in the Murano museum. See less
