A charming set of 5 faience plates featuring hand-painted images of famous wine domaines in France -- Dom Perignon, Chinon, Chateau Latour, Clous-Vougeot, and Montbazillac, Perfect to display as a collection or to utilize for cheese, dessert, salad, or bread. Mark en verso of Longchamp, a leading French porcelain & pottery house founded as a tile manufacturer in the 14thC and then evolving into tableware and decorative pottery offerings in the early 1800s. From the mark and design, we estimate that this set was fabricated in the mid-20thC.
