- We've had a pair of these before, rare and hard to find Thonet bentwood armchairs. These were originally from one … more We've had a pair of these before, rare and hard to find Thonet bentwood armchairs. These were originally from one of the screening rooms at Howard Hughes' film studios in Hollywood and may have been used in other locations and offices of the studio as well. Made by Thonet, the arms are of laminated ply maple, finished in a glossy sheen that is best described as a blonde finish. The brand new fabric is a luscious dark navy velvet that has faint black pinstripes, see close-ups for best color reading. These are fully restored to showroom condition, new foam, fully refinished wood. less
