A vintage reproduction print of antique Ukiyo-e woodblock print by Utagawa Hiroshige, from his series, "The Fifty-Three Stations of the Tōkaidō Road".
Third Station: Kanagawa. In the title block: "Evening landscape". The road winds upwards, hugging the sea. The maids attract travelers to their inns.
This reproduction print is not a woodblock reproduction, but offset, full-color print. Detailed.
Comes from a rare art folio published by Editions du Credit Lyonnais in Paris, France, in 1960. Printed in France, on one side of high-quality heavy paper. Blank back, numbered on the back: IV.
Very good condition - minor edge wear, it was pinned in the past, two tiny holes very close to the top corners, never framed.
