A seldom seen pair of matching red porcelain oviform Chinese ginger jars made in the city of Hong Kong in the middle of the last century. The main feature is a pair of hand painted overlapping pink Chinese scroll paintings, one portraying painted flowers and birds, the other - calligraphy - that roughly translates as blessings for the home.
Traditional yellow and pink decorative neck lappet border, all hand painted with rich enamels. Fruit bowls, scrolls, vases and gorgeous yellow, orange and pink flowers throughout. An attractive pair of older ginger jars.
