The design for these beauties was inspired by pencil reed rattan pieces made by Gabriella Crespi, who had a way of creating innovative designs with humble natural materials that combined warmth and sophistication. Each placemat’s repeating coiled rattan vine design creates a circular shape resulting in a fabulous set of six that will complement most any modern dinnerware or serve ware. Being handcrafted means that each placemat is uniquely individual and dimensions vary slightly from placemat-to-placemat, ranging from 15¾” to 15½”; height is approximately ¼”, apiece. Together the set of six weighs 5 lbs. 2 oz. Handcrafted from pencil reed rattan in a coiled design; mellow color is naturally aged rattan. In excellent structural and cosmetic condition with age-appropriate wear. Maker is unknown. Though the country-of-origin labels were removed long ago, these beauties were handcrafted in India.
