We are happy to have this beautiful realistic ceramic carrot by Alabama artist Mary Kirk Kelly to the ByCloudia collection. So real you may find a need to take a cautious bite to see if it is real. Kelly is known for her still life ceramics of ordinary objects and life size vegetables and fruits. In great vintage condition. Signed.
Artist Bio: Mary Kirk Kelly lived in Axis, Alabama, and began her career as a ceramicist upon retiring from teaching in the early 1970s. After being asked to reproduce a replica of a neighbor's prize cabbage, she began creating realistic life-size ceramic fruits and vegetables, as well as utilitarian pieces on those themes. Her painstaking attention to detail continues to intrigue collectors worldwide.
