The big bellied vase grows from a rather narrow vase. It is decorated all over with squiggly white lines in triangles and rectangles on slate blue background. Interspersed are spirals, some hands and a moon and star or too as well as occasional dots of color. The main feature is a smiling pink and black moon face surmounted by a leafy garland. More leaves are painted on the handle.

MARKINGS: Signed P Dougherty to right of handle base and on bottom (as seen in photo).
MADE by Patrick L Dougherty at Dougherty Clayworks Belleville, Kentucky. 1980s.
MEASURES 13-3/8" diameter x 22 tall.
