19th Century French Louis XVI Mahogany Onyx Top Commode represents a timeless expression of classical style that has remained popular for millennia! Topped with beveled onyx for carefree elegance and a visually appealing translucence, the case was crafted from exotic imported mahogany then enhanced with finely sculpted carved detail including floral and foliates appearing on the rounded corners, a symmetrical spray on the topmost drawer, and a matching spray on the apron. Finely cast brass bale pulls with ribbon, banded wheat and floral rosettes provide easy access, enhanced by complementary cast brass key guards on the middle and lower drawers. The sheer natural beauty of the wood shines forth on all facades to create visual warmth, while tapered and fluted legs tipped with brass feet complete the look.
