Exquisite John Widdicomb for Baker Furniture Company Burl wood and Mahogany English Regency style, Center/Dining table. Also commonly called, "Russian Center Table."
This 19th. Century style reproduction features a beautiful marquetry inlaid top of fine exotic wood veneers. The center shows a star of satinwood, framed by a beautiful walnut, and surrounded by a border of Karelian Birch, inset with Maple and Walnut Burl. The table top is supported by three curved legs, attached and resting upon a vaulted platform center, with a gold trim surround. The apron has gilded details and it all rests on beautiful brass feet.
This was a custom-made table in the industry, and it purchased by Baker Furniture/aka Baker Knapp & Tubbs, for the enduser.
The table has been well maintained by original owners and looks as if it was right off the showroom floor. less
