A pair of Japanese Meiji Period (1852-1912) bronze altar candle holder / incense burner censers with attractive warm brownish red bronze color and patina.
Japan, 19th century, diminutive / petite bulbous tiered sculptural form with dragon mask and floral reliefs, rising on elephant trunk cabriole legs, resting on raised circular foot, with fairly heavily patinated finish.

Nestled in the heart of posh Uptown Dallas lied a hidden gem that closed its doors after 20 years of business. A long time go-to spot for celebrities, presidents, and collectors of fine 18th and 19th century antiquities especially from Europe and Russia, the owner decided to retire and close her store.
