Bye's work … more A beautiful work from Ranulph Bye, a well-known mid-century Bucks County impressionist whose work remains immensely popular today. Bye's work is included in collections at the Smithsonian and Temple University. Before his death in 2003, he also happened to live in Doylestown, where I reside now, so I often find that I feel a kinship with his work. For example, I'm fairly certain I've walked past this house and it's driving me crazy that I can't place it! I'll report back if I figure it out.

The print is an offset lithograph by Arthur A. Kaplan Co., NYC. (Mark is visible under the mat.) The image is on a very thick card stock. The mat has a very cool aged quality to it.
