Probably Irish, very handsome pair of leather armchairs of very attractive proportions on the smaller side. These are a comfortable pair of antique tub chairs upholstered in a vintage dark coffee colored leather with brass tacks. The cabriole legs are well carved in the George I /George II manner with acanthus and flower heads accenting the knees. The front feet are carved into Baroque dolphin heads. Ca. 1860-1880. Sturdy condition with the leather in mostly good vintage condition, some marks and scratches, craquelure, one split to a seat.
