Wasmuel majolica faience flourished from 1880 to 1914. Also known as barbotine, this lovely tea service features a raised-relief floriate pattern, fanciful spiked handles and detailed hand painting. 15 pieces include six cups and saucers, lidded sugar, creamer and lidded teapot (8.5"H with lid). I have found this attributed to Wasmuel; other then the cryptic numeric marks, there is a signature I cannot read on the inside of the sugar bowl lid (artist perhaps?). See less
