This dramatic … more This beautiful vintage fine china bowl in the TOBACCO LEAF pattern was made in JAPAN by Seymour Mann.
This dramatic bowl is decorated on the inside and the outside. The multicolor decoration is “framed” by thin royal blue lines around the interior rim and exterior around the base. This is one of the nicest display / serving pieces that we have ever seen in this pattern.
The full name of the pattern is “TOBACCO LEAF genus nicotinia”. This would work well with other similar pieces from other manufacturers like Mottahedeh.
The bowl is approximately 8 1/8" in diameter at the rim and 3 3/8" tall
The multi-color design on the white china includes pink, mauve, coral, peach, yellow, blues (including acqua) and greens. The design includes large tobacco leaves and a variety of small flowers.
This lovely and elegant vintage china bowl is in very good vintage condition. It has just been a display piece for many years.
With decoration on both the interior and exterior this can be a distinctive and dramatic accent piece in many locations: on a table, a sideboard / server, mantelpiece, wall / book shelf.
It would be a great serving piece to mix and match with many dinner service. less
