I absolutely love the transition from harried breakfast to raucous supper ... each scene oozing with energy, motion and light-hearted humor.

Cecil Aldin (1870 - 1935) was a British artist and illustrator, known for his fun and whimsical paintings of animals and rural life. This pair of chromolithographs, circa 1900, are framed in traditional oak frames.

The prints show signs of age, with some tears and damage visible (as pictured). The frames also show some age and the corners are not as tight as one would hope, but the pieces are still sturdy overall. I tried to picture the condition as accurately as possible and also accounted for condition in price.

Each measures 25" wide by 18" tall.

Overall, this pair of traditional hunting scenes has undeniable presence and the elegance that only comes with more than a century's worth of time passing. less
