A solid and parquetry walnut single door armoire by Parisian cabinetmaker, Georges Guerin, not as well known as 19c ebenistes, Linke or Sormanie but just as talented when the commission demanded it. Style influences of Louis XV but mainly Louis XVI, a transitional style piece.

This one was special enough to have been in our family home since the late 1970s. solid precisely incised hand carved walnut with 2 applied carvings over the parquetry. Art nouveau influenced hand beveled mirror and classic Parisienne sloped shoulder crown. 3 moveable shelves included.

This one is only now offered due to the frustration of an 8' ceiling in our final home. This fits perfectly in a 9' ceiling and is a conversation piece even among those who don't like antiques.

Disassembles with 4 bolts for easy shipping. I entered 108" height but will fit a 9' ceiling. See less
