Gladys Fies was born in Texas and, after moving to California, she studied with Millard Sheets, Rex Brandt, and George Post among others. A lifetime member of the Society of Watercolor Artists, she exhibited widely and with success and was the recipient of numerous medals, prizes and juried awards. less
