Hand engraved copper plated pie crust tray table. Intricate punched engraving and large interlocking star design with some floral like scroll accents. Fluted lip provides lots of texture. Tray is punched with signature underneath: Arlene C Hayden. The star is the Moroccan Star as shown on the country’s flag and represents the Seal of Solomon and each of the 5 lines represents one of the five pillars of Islam.
This piece shows nice patina and rests on a folding teak puzzle base which was had carved from one piece of wood and all are interlocking and fixed together. It is quite interesting and organic in form. This little table makes an exotic statement perfect for an eclectic, boho or mid century decor. Bring a bit of middle eastern style to your space!
