The top drawer is partitioned with 9 compartments, all drawers are lined in black. The box is solid rosewood with masterly artisan dovetail joints at all of the corners, the back and drawer sides are maple or cherry wood. The drawer pulls are a striped exotic wood. While this dates from the late 1940s or early 1950s, it blends elements of Art Deco design and lines with sleek Mid 20th Century Scandinavian favorites. The grain is a work of art and we hope the pictures do it justice. It weighs approximately 16 lbs. We've added faux leather padded lining to cover the original velvet - see image.
