Made by Copeland of fine English Bone China, and retailed through Gilman Collamore in NY, probably middle 19th C,
gorgeous hand-painted and gilt decorated jar with cover.

They are magnificently decorated in the famous 'Chelsea Rose' pattern, first produced at Chelsea, then at Coalport, from the early 19th century, which has been made by Spode off and on for almost 200 years.

These pieces carry pattern number 6397.

They measure about 6" in diameter, stands about 6" tall.

In excellent, near mint, condition. One does have an old hairline crack under the lid....nothing significant! less
