A scarce Gustavian Period (1772-1809) country Swedish farmhouse pine rocking bin for decorative use only (would make for a wonderful firewood kindling / log holder, open top blanket chest or planter flower box)
Hand-crafted in Sweden at the turn of the late 18th / early 19th century, high quality primitive Scandinavian craftsmanship, presenting with visible dovetail and pegged mortise joinery, solid wood construction, having sculptural shaped rails, cutout handles, stepped contoured ogee molding, plank boarded bottom, resting on demilune rockers, with beautifully aged warm rustic patina. circa 1790
