That's the best description I can think of for this amazing piece. Large impressive solid wood construction with a lot of useful storage space inside. I love the drawers on the left side. They are all lined with emerald green felt, all in great condition. This piece has a wonderful range of warm tones in all of the wood. The top has been refinished and is just beautiful, lovely grain showing. The door fronts are amazing. Chinese Chippendale pattern over top of a beautiful neutral grasscloth. No hardware needed, the doors have recessed edges for your fingers and gives this such a sleek clean look. Magnetic clasps hold the doors shut. Very well made. I cannot find a makers mark. Gorgeous ! less
