You can screw the top on, but it really isn't necessary as the top is heavy. However, I would recommend reattaching the stretcher.. The hardware is in the drawer and there appears to be some extra. The only other issue is that the desk top shows signs of use. There are a few scratches and some of the varnish has worn off. If you enlarge and study the photos carefully, I think you can see them. If you are interested, Message me through Chairish, and I can take some better indoor photos of the top. I have priced it with the idea that you may want the top touched up by a furniture restoration expert. The dark areas are shadows from a tree. less

Of the period, circa 1900, Arts and Crafts solid oak partners desk. Both sides are exactly the same with 2 drawers on each side. The top and the stretcher are currently detached, but can be screwed back on. The hardware is in one of the 4 drawers. Please read condition report for more information.
