There's a patina to the brass and some chips on the stone base. Please refer to photos and description. I don't know the plug type, but was required to answer a multiple choice question regarding the plug in order to list this item. All I know is it works in my standard outlet here in California.

The base appears to be black marble/stone and … more La Maison Charles attributed brass horse head lamp with a gorgeous patina. The base appears to be black marble/stone and the lamp weighs just over 21 pounds. I recently got it out of a celebrity estate, so I don't have much history on it. It appears that it may have been modified at some point. The wire (which is cloth covered and probably original) comes out of the brass base rather than the black marble where you typically see the wire. Refer to photos. This is a single light lamp and the socket and harp don't appear original, so I presume this was another modification. It's an absolutely elegant statement piece. It's about 27" tall to the top of the finial and about 15" tall to the top of the horse's ears. The base is just under 7" across and the horse is about 8" from the front of the nose to the back of the neck. There's minor pitting to the brass which I think adds amazing character, and there is a small area of the stone near the base that's chipped. See photos.
