Artist Bio:
He entered the University of California, Berkeley, in September 1934, completing his master's degree in May 1939, and immediately started teaching art in Sacramento (1939–41). His constructions, built with a variety of materials and objects, deal with the exploration off visual language derived from geometry—geometry as symbol and sign.
