Francesco Torbido worked between Venice and Verona in the early 16th century. His surviving portraits, such as those in the Brera, Milan, display a keen psychological engagement, bearing witness to to a diverse range of influences from the Veneto, including Giorgione, Lotto and Titian.
I was unable to find any specific information about this painting. Likely it is quite rare.
I do love this era. These portraits of women from the past are always interesting, especially seeing the fashion of the day.
