This is another painting by Marcel Dyf. He was Parisian born in 1899. He began by painting frescoes but soon began painting many other subjects. In 1935 he moved into Maximilien Luce's old studio on the Avenue du Maine. But when the Germans invaded Paris in 1940, he moved to Arles and continued to paint.
Dyf painted many still life flowers, similar to this painting. He can certainly be considered an Impressionist, as this painting can attest. It is a soft, gentle picture, that is lovely to study.
I found very little information on this print. This tells me that it may be in a private collection and therefor quite rare.
This print is offered on Hahnemuhle Fine Art Paper printed using the Giclee method.
