the central aluminum bar gives the burdick table designed by bruce burdick its unmistakable profile. it featured customizable variants with a series of components (drawers, footrests, etc.) making this table with a sophisticated and also distinctive character, highly functional and infinitely adaptable.
aesthetically attractive and made with quality materials and an intelligent design\. It is possible to pass the cables along the spokes and the aluminum base.
modern already in the middle of the century
in 1923 the michigan star furniture company became what we know today as herman miller, when d.j. De pree and his father-in-law herman miller purchased the company.
de pree renamed the company using miller's name.
already in the mid-20th century, the herman miller brand had become synonymous with "modern" furniture. De pree first hired designer gilbert rohde in 1930, ushering in an era of modern, problem-solving design. Fifteen years later it was george nelson's turn, who changed the fate of the entire company. Drawing inspiration from the design and with the support of de pree, nelson engaged his contemporaries, such as charles and ray eames, alexander girard and isamu noguchi, to produce furniture that became modern classics.
herman miller, an innovator in contemporary interior furnishings, joins the millerknoll collective in 2021, an unprecedented brand platform created to design the world we live in. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
designer records,
or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising
