John Hansegger (NY/Swiss 1908-1989). A well done abstract "splatter" type painting. The work may appear to be related to Jackson Pollock's works (they were contemporaries), but on closer inspection it is apparent that the painting is carefully constructed impasto rather than a semi-randomly applied splatter effect. It is a pleasing, and engaging, tableau.
The painting is oil/canvas and it is presented in a period artist frame. It is signed and guaranteed to be an original work by Hansegger. We feel that it is a very good work, but an underappreciated artist.
