Hand carved from single hollowed out piece of teak, then painted with red lacquer, these lidded pots traditionally hold the red tikka vermillion (bindi) powder used for marking the forehead with a red dot or stripe during Hindu ceremonies of blessing.

This lovely, old piece makes a beautiful statement piece for the home. Our piece dates to the early 1900s.
