Gorgeous stained glass piece with original leading, jewels and a Victorian angel atop. This piece is truly one-of-a-kind and breath-taking -- a value at any price if what you want is a unique snapshot of history and a testament to the incredible skill and style sensibilities of the Victorians.
This Victorian stained glass is LARGE, measuring 56.5" wide 73" tall and 5" deep ... it's more a stained glass wall than a window. Dating to the late 1800s, this stained glass piece features rich coloring of earthy greens, yellows and reds along with beautiful translucency and surface striations.
This unique piece was salvaged from an old building in Lake Tahoe, although we haven't been able to find photos of the window in its original setting. There are some small cracks (as you might expect with a piece this old) but it's original, in tact and the leading and framework are solid. It's currently backlit with small lights to highlight the rich color and overall impact of this stunning piece. There is a small section of backing missing from the mirror (as pictured) but this could easily be fixed .... if you prefer perfection over patina.
This one-of-a-kind stained glass piece would be the perfect addition to any architectural or design project in need of a bit of wow factor. Could be used as a partial room divider, as a light installation in a bar or restaurant ... or could be incorporated into a new design to add a touch of antique elegance.
