I see no defects on the cane backs, and only a couple minor nicks to the wood finish. I'm no expert, but these look like they're oak. The seats are airchairs are about 22.5" wide and 19" deep. The seat height is approx. 18" at the highest, and the chairbacks are about 42.5" tall. Quality chairs made by Century Furniture Co., Hickory, North Carolina. less
