The circular stand has three lightly scrolled stays that are designed to support the weight of a hot cooking vessel. Both of the front spindles transition downwards to form small, scrolled feet, while the back one continues behind the circle, forming a handle with a small knob and a thick leg beneath. The dark black finish has commensurate buildup, which have given some areas a brown hue, adding to the charm of this antique cooking implement. Our 18th-century forged iron cooking trivet would be the perfect addition to any kitchen and would make a functional piece of serveware with rustic appeal. See less
