A diminutive pink porcelain vase with an elegant pure silver overlay design handcrafted in Germany and dating circa 1940s. The white porcelain body is glazed in a bright and cheerful pink; the silver overlay work consists of delicate leaves, blossoms and stems terminating in bands at the vessel's foot and rim. The silver overlay was crafted by Manfred Veyhl of Germany who was active between 1928 through the 1950s.
The vase is in very good condition, measuring 4 in. height x 3.25 in. diameter (at widest). Stamped underfoot with a green underglaze Thomas Ivory / Thomas / Bavaria / Germany mark (used between 1939 and 1952) and a red underglaze mark of Veyhl silver studio: Veyhl / Silberporzellan and hand-painted numbers: 4 119|2.
