Originally designed and manufactured by the Paris parks department in the early 1900s and formally known as the Senat Chair, it has always been a cherished symbol of the city's many parks. In the early 2000s, the mission to redesign and reproduce this beloved chair was undertaken, with the renowned company Fermob spearheading the initiative. They entrusted French industrial designer Frédéric Sofia to create the ultimate design solution.
