Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown white and gold flecks Italian art glass scallop and flared rim decorative bowl. Documented to designer Ercole Barovier, for the Barovier e Toso company. It is made with an opaline white glass. The bowl is not covered in clear glass on the outside, it has a naked surface. The inside of the bowl does have a clear glass layer. The entire bowl is profusely covered in heavy gold leaf inside and out. The bowl has thick ribbed design, with scalloped rim and flared out ends that form scrolls. The shape resembles a Venetian gondola. Would make a great display piece on any desk, coffee table or vanity. Use it as a catchall, candy bowl or jewelry dish Mid-century era. Measures: 8 1/2” long x 4 1/4" wide x 3" high.
