As part of Marimekko's ongoing efforts to promote the brand worldwide, this piece is from a line of posters sent to distributors, press, and agents to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Marimekko in 1976 that focused on designers and makers at the company. Because they weren't available to the public, they are exceptionally rare and mostly exist in museums and in prominent collections. This poster highlights Japanese designer Fujiwo Ishimoto and his artistic contributions to Marimekko. Ishimoto joined Marimekko in 1974 and was employed by the design house until 2006, creating approximately 400 fabric prints for Marimekko in his tenure.
In good condition with light wear consistent with age.
