Early 20th Century Etched Art Nouveau Crystal Wine Glasses - Set of 16

We were amazed to find such a large set of early 20th Century wine glasses at an estate sale in … more We were amazed to find such a large set of early 20th Century wine glasses at an estate sale in central Virginia. Then we did a double take and saw that there were two sets of crystal that had been consolidated together -- presumably either through marriage or an inheritance. But, still, it was a nice size for such early crystal. When we unpacked them after the sale and began to examine the glasses more closely to be certain that there were no flaws or damaged glasses, we discovered that there were glasses from four (not two) sets of very similar, almost indistinguishable crystal collections dating from 1910 to 1940. Was it time to separate them? We decided that they were so similar in form, design, and size that they should be kept together. And someone will appreciate a set of 16 historic glasses, some of which are over 100 years old. The patterns are all from Fostoria, and a couple are even available at Replacements Ltd. The patterns are: Garland (produced from 1915 until 1928), Victory (produced from 1922 until 1928), Florentine (produced from 1933 until 1943), and Pagoda (produced from 1935 until 1943). The glasses all measure approximately 6 3/4 inches tall (with a variation of approximately 1/2 inch among the glasses). The rim diameters are approximately 3 1/2 inches (with a variation of approximately 1/4 inch among the glasses). We discovered no chips, cracks, hazing, or imperfections in any of the glasses. The glasses could be used for wine or water. They would hold approximately 3 3/4 ounces if filled for wine. They would hold approximately 5+ ounces if filled (closer to the rim) for water. less
